We booked a private 2-hour group tour for 13 people as there weren’t any regularly scheduled tours on the days we would be in town. Curtis was our guide and he did a phenomenal job. Our party ranged in age from 8-46, and everyone had fun and stayed engaged. While it was a lot of walking no one complained! We said we wanted to focus on food and history. We started in Pike Place Market and then after checking in with the group about how everyone was feeling we did some downtown Seattle history, as well as the waterfront. I can’t recommend it enough. Everyone was talking about how enjoyable it was for the rest of the day.

The free 101 Seattle tour is quite impressive. The right amount of time- 2 hours- well paced and quite interesting. What makes it interesting is not the just funny stories that the guide tells us, or the good historical facts that the tour provides. Not to mention many invaluable tips on restaurants and museums. The highlight of the tour is the guide herself. AMALIA. A native from Seattle who can entertain and educate. If you go, ask for her. She won’t disappoint. She is worth every reward that there is to give. Wish Amalia had different walking tours as my husband and I would sign it instantly! What a pleasure. Made our morning very worth it!

I took 2 tours (Market and 101 tour). Both tours were guided by Joe, a guy with great knowlwdge of Seattle and a good portion of humor! He gave a nice and comprehensive overview of the history, showed highlights of the city and reveled some secrets of Seattle! And the best - it is free! Having said that, of course the guide would be happy to get some tip! 🙂 Can very much recommend!

Loved the Seattle 101 tour. Our guide, Curtis, was informative and entertaining. Learned so much about this great city. Saw things I would never have seen on my own. Be prepared for some walking as the tour lasts 2 hours.

My husband and I had the pleasure of taking the tour with Joe as our guide, and we absolutely loved it! He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable but also wonderfully charismatic. We enjoyed every conversation with him, asked tons of questions, and he even took great photos of us. What we appreciated most is that this is one of those free tours with no sugar-coating — you get the real history of the city, which makes you connect deeply with how Seattle’s past has shaped the character of its people. Highly recommended!
