Spirit of Orca Whale Watching, Wildlife, & Birding Tours

It was amazing to be out in the ocean on a beautiful day with family. Although we did not have the chance to see any whales, we saw other incredible marine life, and the stunning views of Anacourtes were fantastic. Cruising around looking for whales was definitely a treat! A heartfelt thank you to Ken and his lovely wife for sharing their passion with us! Looking forward to going out again, and hopefully the whales will be around for us to enjoy :)

The intimate experience shared with 5 other passengers, the captain and co-captain was bar none! I’m so happy we chose the small boat tour over the big boat tour 🫶 Ken is passionate about what he does and it truly shows. The weather was perfect, the whales showed up (T46B with an 4 month old wittle baby 😍🥰) and we even got to see a sea otter, sea lion, puffins, and a minke whale. So thankful for this opportunity and the 4 total strangers we shared it with. 10/10 highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our time spent with Ken on the Spirit of Orca! Ken was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions about the orcas and other wildlife we saw! Seeing the orcas was amazing! It has been on my bucket list for a long time and I can’t wait to go out again! Definitely worth going out on the private tour. This was an amazing experience. Ken was a wonderful guide and went above and beyond to help us find a pod of orcas. His photography skills were also great and it was a huge bonus that he sent photos from the day to us! If you are anywhere near this area I highly recommend. We drive up from Seattle (about 1.5 hours and an easy day trip) We did the private tour that seats up to 6. We are a family of 4 (children ages 17 & 20).

Ken and Spirit of Orca were so great! Couldn’t recommend them more. Small and intimate boat allows agile movement around the San Juan islands with great views of the geography and wildlife. Ken was incredibly nice and knowledgeable about the PNW and all it has to offer. He coordinated with other tours to ensure we had the best possible chance to see orcas. 10/10! Thank you Ken!
