We did a half-day tour out of Port Townsend in mid-September and saw three orcas and a humpback whale. This whale watching tour was one of my favorite experiences during my first trip to the PNW! Also - highly recommend the blueberry buckle and the unlimited refills mug they sell on the boat, it makes a great souvenir afterwards

This place was right around the corner from where we were staying. It was not something I’d planned to do, but my husband wanted to go, so we went. The boat leaves at 10:30 and will get you back to the dock between 230 and three. Although, I thought that was a little long to be out on the water, it was a beautiful day on the water. We did not see Whales for about an hour, but saw all sorts of other sea life. The crew could not have been nicer. The seats were very comfortable and was easy to walk around. They had refreshments and things to eat on board. We saw humpback whales and orcas! It was quite exciting! I recommend this for anyone who is interested in getting out on the water to see what there is to see on the sea!!!

Enjoyable day on the water looking for wildlife and visiting Friday Harbor. Our Captain went above and beyond for us to see a pod of Orcas, a Sea Otter, Puffins, Seals, a Bald Eagle, and much more. Deception Pass was beautiful.

An Unforgettable Experience! We had an incredible time on our whale watching tour! We were lucky enough to see killer whales (orcas), a humpback whale, and—unexpectedly—a tufted puffin! The guides were knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and the environment. The boat was comfortable, the scenery was stunning, and the overall experience far exceeded our expectations. If you're in the area and looking for something truly special, this tour is a must-do. We’ll be talking about it for a long time!

On top of the amazing tour (which I’ll get into in a sec), I have to start with their customer service — absolutely incredible. We originally had a tour booked, but about an hour before leaving, my brother had to go to the ER. I called to see if there was any way to get a refund, and the manager, Sarah, was so kind and empathetic. She stayed in touch with me, gave me options, and did her best to help. While a full refund wasn’t possible, they were willing to work with me — and luckily, they were able to get us on the tour the very next day when my brother felt well enough to go. The tour itself? Unreal. We weren’t even 5 minutes in before we spotted a family of orcas and got to spend a lot of time watching them. The captain mentioned that this wasn’t even the planned route, but someone had spotted a whale in another direction, so he decided to head that way. And wow… it was pure magic. I’m not gonna lie — I cried. It had been a long few days, and the main reason we came out here was to hopefully see whales… and we did! We saw four generations of one family, watched them surface again and again, and also spotted two bald eagles, some deer, sea lions, sea pups, and tons of birds. It felt like the whole experience happened because of an unexpected change in plans … both for the tour and for us personally. My spiritual side couldn’t help but feel like it was meant to be. I’m so glad I was able to give my business to a company like this. Highly recommend Puget Sound Express!! they’ll take care of you, and you’ll leave with memories you’ll never forget.
