Island Adventures

We had an amazing adventure this past weekend with Island Adventures. Our captain, crew, and naturalist were incredibly professional and knowledgeable. We were able to witness two Orca pods, a humpback whale, harbor porpoises and seals, bald eagles in flight, and sea lions. It definitely surpassed my expectations. As a native Texan, I was a bit cold on the boat given the time of year (late October). Remember to pack gloves, hats, blankets, extra layers for any possibility to stay comfortable and enjoy all the sights have to offer. Would absolutely go again and recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Went out with Island Adventures today (Friday ) @ noon. The boat is beautiful. Perfectly designed for comfortable whale watching. The boat was about 75% full. It was easy to move around to see everything. We purchased a coffee & hot chocolate to enjoy during the ride. Both were hot, fresh & delicious. We saw several harbor seals & searched in Canadian waters for the star of the day …one humpback who was feeding. The crew was knowledgeable. We enjoyed our time on the boat & watching our whale feed !

First let me say that this company goes above and beyond. Our original trip had to be rescheduled due to an incoming storm. They were quick to notify and quick to respond in our request to be moved to a different trip the following day and mannn. This was the most amazing thing I have ever experienced. Captain Tyson, Sam, and the rest of the crew were all so amazing. Very knowledgeable about all the animals in this ecosystem! They made the trip fun. We got to see 3 different orca family groups, a humpback, harbor porpoises, stellar sea lions, bald eagles, wild deer, ram and sheep.. Even got to witness the orcas on a seal/sea lion hunt! I’m still in awe! 100% recommend!

Three groups of orcas, a humpback whale, sea lions, eagles, porpoises, and more! They extended our whale watching by an hour because we kept getting great whales! Great crew, naturalist and captain. Thought this would be a one and done trip but already looking at tickets for next year.

My companion and I had the most amazing experience today with Island Adventures. I can’t recommend this experience enough. The entire crew was extremely knowledgeable about the area, history, and ocean life, which added an additional element of pleasure to the trip. Each and every person I encountered, such as Tyson and Sam, were kind, funny, easy to talk to, and very welcoming. On board, everything was clean, the passengers were happy, and they also offered snacks and souvenirs for purchase. The experience was amazing from start to finish, with breathtaking views of the islands, orcas, bald eagles, seals, porpoise, and other marine life. It truly was the perfect day and well worth the trip of admission. Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone thinking about it, and I will definitely be back the next time I’m in Washington.
