I contacted Cheryl and asked about setting up trips to Mt Rainier, Mt St Helens and Olympic National Park. She put together a set of dates and picked us up in Seattle every trip day promptly. We adjusted trips based on the weather and it worked well for us. Our trip to Olympic was a bit rainy but Cheryl knew how to find great locations where the rain added to the experience. Cheryl knows the area very well and we went to several quiet scenic locations. She worked with our ability to hike well and made sure we could enjoy the trip. She had a great understanding of the history and geology of the area and shared insights as we drove and hiked. Very nice vehicle, great driver and knowledgeable guide, Cheryl will be our choice for all future visits to the area! Contact her with ideas and she will work up a trip you will remember!

My husband and I did two days of tour with Cheryl and they were great! I’ve reached out to her via email after stumbling upon her website and she very kindly shared with me which were the best places to visit. Cheryl is very knowledgeable on the history and geography of the area. She knows all the hidden spots around Seattle that you don’t get on regular tours. When she found out that we came from a tropical country, she also stopped by a little ski resort during our drive to let us experience some snow. It was a fun tour!

Cheryl’s tour was the highlight of my Seattle trip. I was picked up directly from my hotel. She was extremely knowledgeable about Whidbey Island and shared many interesting facts. I could tell that she catered to my interests and adjusted the tour accordingly. At one point we spotted a bald eagle directly about the vehicle. I jokingly asked her where the button was that she pushed to release the Eagle. I truly had a wonderful tour.

Blue skies + sunshine + a private tour by Cheryl = an excellent day visiting Mount Rainier! Such a wonderful and personable experience. Cheryl catered to our needs, took us to all the great picture spots, it was a great way to spend the day out of the city and just be able to relax out and back to the park. Highly recommend!

On a Sunday afternoon, I asked Cheryl to take me on a tour the next day. I was traveling alone, and she kindly agreed to take me on the Leavenworth Alpine Village and Snoqualmie Falls Tour. Cheryl is a well-informed and helpful tour guide. She displayed a wealth of interesting historical and cultural knowledge as we drove through beautiful mountain passes. Along the way, we made several stops to observe forest ecosystems and breathtaking waterfalls. Cheryl takes advantage of nature when it presents itself - even if it’s not a part of the tour. On our drive, she spotted a herd of elk, stopped on the side of the road, and we took a moment to take in the elks’ beauty and grace. She even took me to the place where portions of Harry & the Henderson’s was filmed. Cheryl was very patient and accommodating. She took several pictures of me at various sites since I was traveling alone. Cheryl pointed out the best stores in Leavenworth and suggested a delightful place for lunch. I was a bit nervous since it would be just 2 of us together for the entire day, but that was needless worry. Cheryl welcomed me from the moment she picked me up, and by the end of the day, we felt like old friends. As a client and a business PhD, I highly recommend Cheryl’s Northwest Tours. She is doing all the right things to ensure that her business provides excellent customer service and creates immersive experiences for every guest.
