The Park seemed to be a pretty good size. We happened to go on a rainy, very windy day so we were not able to walk around to everything and earlu January there is not much going on and the lighthouse was closed. Some of the bunkers are left open and you can easily walk through them. The bunkers look well maintained as well as the surrounding grounds.

Lots of educational plaques about the park, open green space for playing football or flying kites, a beach for wildlife viewing, walking trails, and a cool old fort that was fun and a little spooky to explore. What more could you want? Discover pass required but plenty of parking.

My family and I came here for a visit and we had so much fun seeing everything! My husband and I are very big into learning about history most specifically military history. We loved exploring inside the batteries and while we were over by the artillery pits we were all alone and while we were inside we heard a whistle from somewhere. Later when reading some of the information placards we read that there were communication pipes that let out there and a whistle would be heard… perhaps a paranormal experience? Maybe!

On a clear day you can see all the WA mountain ranges. Such a beautiful place. Super fun to explore with kids too.

The Fort is well maintained and beautiful. If you can catch it on a clear day you can see the Olympics in all their glory!
