As a thriller and romance author, I’m always looking for places that combine adventure with ease, and the base lodge at Silver Mountain Resort does exactly that. I enjoy how simple the whole experience feels from the moment I pull into the paved parking lot. The layout at the base is efficient. The ticketing area sits right across from the parking lot, and the gondola loads right there as well, so there’s almost no wandering around in ski boots trying to figure things out. There are multiple ticket windows, which keeps lines moving and makes the start of the day feel organized instead of chaotic. There’s a ski shop at the base where you can buy gear and essentials if you forgot something, and the overall setup feels like a classic ski village. It has that small mountain town energy that makes the day feel like more than just a quick ski session. The staff has always been friendly and helpful, whether I’m picking up tickets or asking a question. The gondola ride up is part of the experience. It’s a smooth and scenic way to transition from town to mountain, and it sets the tone for the day before you even click into your skis. Between the easy access, the organized base area, and the welcoming feel, Silver Mountain’s lodge makes the whole trip simple and enjoyable. As someone who writes thrillers and romance built around adventure, I appreciate a place where the logistics disappear and the focus stays on the mountain.

It was genuinely so much fun for the whole family. We ended up not skiing, but we took the gondola and that was fun, and the fact that the water park was included with the hotel was so cool. It was so fun for the parents and our 3-year-old. It was a great time have not had that much fun in so long.We are going to make it a yearly tradition. The only thing I would change about the trip is, I would stay longer!

The resort is nice. We had an oversize suite with a connecting room. Overall nice accommodations. Don’t forget your shampoo and conditioner. Resort staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. Waterpark is fun. Kids really enjoyed it, even the 18 and 19-year-old. Gondola ride is roughly 25 minutes. Ski staff are experienced. Overall, we enjoyed our time at Silver Mountain resort

We came to Silver Mountain on Jackass Day. Boy was it busy. Food at the top of the gondola was barely passable. In total we got 3 orders of fries. The first was perfectly cooked, the 2nd & 3rd were under done and hardly edible. Chili and soup were below average. Lift prices were affordable, since they were reduced for the day. We bought Waterpark passes online before we came, but not enough. Same day purchases were $15 more than the online purchases. It was a decent day, but I feel a bit taken advantage of due the the high same day rates.

We enjoyed our stay! We had a 1 bedroom condo with two dogs, no issues accommodating them and there is a designated area for them to use the bathroom. The water park was great. Nice and warm and staff seemed friendly. Our room was great, though counters and tv stands seemed like they needed a dusting/wipe. The phone in our room didn’t work so I would have to go to the lobby or call with my cell for questions. We did have to put previous guests dishes away out of the dishwasher. Not sure if that’s normal here but new to me. Parking was limited at night as they’re remodeling and dumpsters are taking up a few spots. Along with the pack and play that was rented, for $18 a night I just wish it was in better condition. Otherwise we would love to come back! It was great and I think would make for a good stop in the future again
