As a thriller and romance author, I’m always drawn to places with layered terrain and character, and Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park has a layout that makes every visit feel a little different. The mountain is divided into multiple sections, which gives it a unique design compared to many resorts. You start at the main lodge area, where there’s an excellent beginner hill with a magic carpet that makes it easy for new skiers to build confidence. From there, you can explore farther out and eventually make your way to the back side of the resort, where additional lift access opens up more terrain. There’s also Hidden Glen, which adds another layer to the experience and makes the mountain feel larger than it first appears. The lodge itself is well designed with a two-story, mezzanine-style dining area that gives you a good view of the action while you eat. There are multiple food options available, and it’s a fun place to take a break between runs. Rental services are solid for both skis and snowboards, and lift ticket prices are very reasonable. The staff has always been courteous, attentive, and easy to work with, which makes the day run smoothly from start to finish. Overall, Mt. Spokane offers excellent skiing with a variety of terrain options and a layout that encourages exploration. It’s a mountain I enjoy returning to when I want both adventure and a well-organized ski day.

We came here for sledding and loved it. Booked myself, my niece and 3 daughters online and it was super smooth. We met at Lodge #1 about 20mins before our scheduled 90min sled time. Then heard a few rules and walked across the street to the sledding hill. The hill was smooth and manicured and the tow rope back up was so nice. We will definitely come back in the future!

We were lucky to come on one of the first days of the season. It had been decades since we skied, but the staff was very helpful and friendly. We got a great deal on lift tickets because they only offered limited terrain due to low snow. I stuck with the bunny hill but other members of our group enjoyed the next lift up. There is an area at the base with a magic carpet where kids, beginners, and scary-cats can get used to their skis and snowboards. You can ask the bunny hill chair lift operator to show down the lift and give a thumbs down at the top for a slow dismount. In case you are with kids or beginners. The lodge has places to put your skis, and there are lockers for extra stuff inside. There is a water fountain inside and I heard they have free hot water.
