Diner Reviews
A two star review is extremely rare for me and I'm not even sure this should be two stars! We've eaten at Whiskey Mill on several occasions and it's always been mediocre at best. This time it dipped quite a bit below mediocre. I must say though, the hostess was perfect, she can have all two stars! She greeted us with a genuine smile, was friendly and sat us right away with a carafe of water but no cups, that was odd! The place was empty so not sure why it took forever for anybody to even acknowledge us but it worked to our advantage because we were able to order everything at once. The drinks came out first, as they should, but then the food came out right behind them, like 3-4 minutes later. That's too quick to be made to order so not sure what's going on in that kitchen! I got the prawns and risotto, big mistake! It was literally crunchy, like minute rice type crunchy half cooked rice! When I told our server he said yeah, he had complaints the day before about it! What? Why didn't you tell me when I ordered it? The short rib reuben was on the dry side and definitely not freshly made but at least was a little warm. I suppose I should have stuck with the poutine, it used to be good, maybe it still is!

Great bar for food and drinks. We had the clams and they are tasty. If you’re looking for for whisky they do have some nice pours.

There were very few customers, yet it took them a very long time to come to the table. The drinks were high priced. The menu was extremely limited and incredibly overpriced. We each ordered the most inexpensive item on the menu, pulled pork macaroni and cheese. When it came there was less than an ounce of very fatty, flavorless pork on top of flavorless dry macaroni and cheese. We each had 2 drinks. The total bill was $125. I definitely would Not recommend this place.

My husband and I took a spur of the moment trip over to Port Townsend and tried out the old whiskey mill. Our server was fabulous and the food was fast and delicious! I had the northwest burger and it was perfect! The bourbon peach tea was a fantastic summer refresher too! We will definitely be back!

Food was delish. The restaurant was a cute vibe. Manager guy was nice and fast but our server took forever.
