Reno's on the Runway

When traveling through Yakima on Fridays, we try to go here for their great salad bar. Today, I tried the chocolate cake and I'm glad it was so massive I couldn't eat it all. I shared what was left with friends and everyone said this was one of the most amazing things we've ever tasted. This cake was so incredible, I forsee us making a special trip for a "slice" (more like a loaf). The staff is also wonderful. The only possible negative would be that the building could seat more people, but that would probably ruin the cozy atmosphere.

Located in the old air terminal, this is a surprising find. A friendly staff serve outstanding food. Seating is available both inside and outside - where you can watch airplanes land as you eat. I had the best french dip ever here. Highly recommended.

Writing this review as I eat my leftovers :) What a fun atmosphere it was to have breakfast here & the food was wonderful. Loved the fact that they served maple syrup unlike most of the other breakfast spots around town. And the waitresses were fantastic, thank you so much for a lovely meal. My partner and I very much enjoyed it!!

I went to have breakfast at Reno’s on the Runway today and I will NEVER GO BACK!!!!! While waiting for my food with a friend , an elderly couple and another older lady(Probably in their 70-80) wanted to change some chairs to sit on some with cushions at the table that had more room and the waitress/owner yelled at the top of her lungs (not exaggerating )at them to not move the chairs around! I was mortified at the way she yelled at them causing the whole restaurant (4-5 tables being occupied) to stop what they were doing to see what was going on. She scolded them like they were children and made a huge scene. My friend and I were so upset with what had happened we tried to pay our bill before the food came and left. I will NEVER EVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO. And check on your grandparents to make sure they never go. No one should ever be treated so horribly.

Other than their short hours, this place is incredible. Great food and super friendly staff, tons of plane memorabilia and you get to watch planes take off and land. So good.
