I’ve been wanting to try this lovely place for months now. I had some family visiting so I thought I’d book a reservation. I booked my party of 6 for a Friday night. When we got there we got lucky with street parking but I can see it being difficult to find parking on a weekend. Upon entering the restaurant we were greeted with delicious smells and a beautiful interior. The decor was perfect. The lights were dimmed and tables were candle light. It gave a warm cozy vibe. They were packed so I’m glad we set a reservation. We were seated right away and the waitress gave us all menus and water. They had a pretty big drink menu. They also had a few specials. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. All of our food was delicious. We got the crawfish hush puppies and deviled eggs as appetizers. The hush puppies were seasoned perfectly and had a delicious sauce on them. The deviled eggs were creamy and the pickles on the plate were so good. The chicken skin on top was a nice crunch. My grandfather got the steak frites, cooked to perfection. Totally delicious. One of my grandmothers got the pork chop and grits, it was seared perfectly and packed with flavor. My other grandmother and brother got the honey fried catfish, so tender and perfectly balanced with the honey. My husband got the fried chicken and gumbo, oh was it the best gumbo I’ve ever had in my life. The fried chicken was so crispy and perfectly seasoned. It went so well with the gumbo. That is definitely what I would get for myself next time. Lastly, I got the special, shrimp creole. It was so filling and comforting. Shrimp was perfectly cooked, not rubbery. A man who I presume to be the owner frequently checked on our table and asked if we needed anything, he and my grandfather talked a while and he was very friendly. When we were all full they pack up the food for you. We will definitely be coming back. 10/10 all around.

Stopped in to celebrate my adult daughter's birthday and had an amazing night. Staff was attentive, kind and patient, we felt so welcomed and had one of the best overall dining experiences I've had in awhile. We attempted to try a little bit of everything from the Hush puppies (perfectly seasoned and stacked) Shrimp roll (bread was warm and fresh, loads of delectable shrimp and sauce) Duck (Delish and moist) Fried green tomatoes (My New Orleans comfort food..... The breading was crunchy and even, with flavorful crawfish tail/tasso ham succotash which was a perfect pairing.) Steak and Fritas (tender, cooked to request perfectly, sauce was spot on) Fried Honey Catfish (Fish melted in your mouth with the just right crunch of perfectly seasoned breading and a perfect amount of sweetness and Creole touch.) We also had the beignets which we were told are now in house crafted from start to finish and can attest to their warm, sweet powdered perfection. We will be back to order more of the menu without hesitation and excited to get in on a Jazz night soon too! Also ..the views were absolutely beautiful, even on a rainy PNW night.

It was a nice little restaurant, I was hoping to try their 5 course menu but I'll get to it eventually. This time my wife ordered their deviled eggs and I their mushroom trilogy. For the main dish I got gumbo and fried chicken my wife ordered steak and fries. Overall it was a nice restaurant that we had the pleasure of trying out.

This restaurant took me back to New Orleans. The decor is perfect. They welcome you the minute you walk in. We had brunch which was delicious. We order the Deviled Eggs YOU HAVE TO GET THEM I PROMISE THEY WILL NOT DISAPPOINT… Then we tried the gumbo which was as traditional as the one in N.O. Then we had the eggs Benedict with crab cake, let’s just say it was amazing! At last we tried the berry crepes which were ok but not out of this world but the presentation was very nice. We did not enjoy our cocktails but they were ok. The expression martini lacked cream or whipped cream or maybe an egg foam. And the Bloody Mary tasted like the sea. So if that’s ok with you then try them. Our sever was cordial and the food came out on a timely note which was surprising because they were semi full. In all we will return if in town.

The only reason I came here was to try the gumbo. I'm kind of a gumbo connoisseur. Arrived Sunday around 1:00 p.m. and they were already out of gumbo I was told. Seeing that I was about to collapse out of sheer disappointment, the wise server went to the kitchen and did some kind of magic and was told they would make more--laisee le bon temps roulle! I asked for the rice on the side and the accommodated my request. It was flavorful and delicious and hit the spot on a cold day. Cute little bar area. Tables in the back have a nice view of the Sound. Love the pink paint. Delicious light crepes complimented our gumbo. And have you ever seen a little crawfish in a Bloody Mary?! Cool and creepy to see little eyes peeking at me in the drink! One star off for their awful choice of music. How about some mood music and bring in some actual cajun tunes that would match the theme of the restaurant, please!
