Diner Reviews
Amazing, delicious, cooked to perfection! We have their broccoli cheddar soup and it had some seasoning I couldn't place, but made the soup so uniquely divine! Our New York Wagyu Strip steak was cooked blue to perfection! Melted in our mouth. Enjoyed the little dishes of different salts and steak toppings! So good!

We went on Super Bowl Sunday so had the resto to ourselves (though the bar was well occupied). Welcomed warmly by hostess, seated in front of the wine 'cellar' so had an interesting view. Server Diana was cute as a button and attentive but not hovering. Food was delish. We shared the MT Root Veg Salad which surprised us with the beets being a puree underneath the rest of the salad; not what we expected, but a lovely twist and quite delicious. I got Elk Strip Loin and hub got the Chicken Breast. We both added the optional mushrooms, which I highly recommend - a scrumptious medley of quality varietals from SporeAttic which enhanced both meals. My elk was divine - never seen a cut of meat so perfectly and evenly med-rare. Hub's chicken also had beet puree, which he loved the flavor of, but the ratio was a bit too generous so there was a pile of beet puree at the end of his meal. All in all it was a delectable and delightful experience and we look forward to returning.

We were passing through for lunch and are so happy we found Carlisle! We came in right as they opened and were one of a handful of customers. We received the warmest welcome from the host and our server Kate. Seating was very comfy. Space was clean, modern and inviting. They were fantastic accommodating some subs for our allergies. The best meal we had within our 2k mile journey. Do not skip the brussel sprouts…the hot honey is special. Save the remaining honey on the plate for the fries. Trust. Hummus and fry bread were tasty, burger was substantial and beefy, fries were great. They fry in tallow. Yum. I added mushrooms and they were absolutely delish but I would just have them on the side next time. If we’re ever in Bozeman again, we will return that’s for sure! Thank you for a scrumptious meal

This is a great location for a fancy event or work event. I was here for work and the freedom to order without worrying about paying was lit. I got the elk loin because I have only had elk sausage. Also - it’s Montana, you gotta have elk! I got it medium rare and it was cooked very well and topped with grilled mushrooms. I got the melty cheese on the side as I didn’t want to overpower the taste of the elk. There was no gamey taste and I honestly preferred it to steak. It paired excellently with the black garlic salt that they provided. The Brussel sprouts were so tasty they out ranked the elk for my favorite dish. They were sweet and perfectly roasted. I wish I knew this recipe! I would definitely return here again, especially for fancy occasions or business trips.

Daniel is an amazing executive chef. He came to our table and checked on us multiple times. We had a large group and he was willing to make the meals family style so we got to try multiple things. I had never tried tartare or wagyu before and they both blew me out of the water. Will be recommending the Carlisle to everyone who comes and visits Bozeman! Thank you for the hospitality!!
