Wet Planet Rafting and Kayaking

We were fortunate enough to snag a spot on their last day of the season, and it was an incredible experience! I'd recommend the company and Kirk as a guide in a heartbeat. Getting there was easy, and they had plenty of parking. You can see the business sign easily from the road. We were given a very thorough explanation of what to expect. They were honest about the inherent risk, but reassuring in the steps we would all take to make sure we stayed safe. They provided all equipment, so you just needed a bathing suit. They offered accommodations to make sure every participant was taken care of. The trip itself involved a couple short hikes, but the vast majority of the time was spent in the water. There was a nice mix of the types of rapids we experienced. There was time to just relax and the surrounding beauty, but there was also plenty of thrilling moments too. Our guide Kirk did a fantastic job of guiding us. He was immediately welcoming and full of knowledge/experience. He made everyone laugh while still making sure that everyone was okay and comfortable. He gave very clear instructions for us to follow. You are given the option to go down a waterfall towards the end, and I would strongly encourage people to try it. It is the perfect thrill to end the trip on. It does feel intimidating, but I think the anticipation was worse than the actual thing. This was my first time, and it definitely won't be the last!

My husband and I had the most incredible experience rafting the full day down the White Salmon River with Wet Planet. I first did the half-day trip nearly a decade ago, and while that was unforgettable, choosing the full-day adventure this time was truly next-level—and absolutely worth it. From start to finish, our guides Ryan and Toto made the day extraordinary. They were not only highly skilled and knowledgeable but also genuinely caring and attentive. Their calm leadership and attention to safety allowed us to fully embrace every exhilarating moment—from cliff jumping into the crystal-clear river to navigating multiple waterfalls. The full-day journey offered so much more than we expected. We explored breathtaking stretches of the river that most people never see, including stunning mountain views, caves, and the awe-inspiring point where the White Salmon merges with the Columbia Gorge. I cannot recommend Wet Planet enough, especially if you’re seeking an experience that combines adventure, beauty, and outstanding service. Be sure to request Ryan or Toto—you’ll be in the very best hands. This is a memory we’ll cherish for years to come.

We had an amazing time water rafting with Ethan as our guide! From the very beginning, he made sure everyone felt safe and comfortable, even if it some of us first time. What stood out was his great sense of humor and positive attitude—it made the whole trip even more fun and memorable. I took two of my best buds to Wet Planet for a rafting trip on the White Salmon River today, and the folks at Wet Planet did not disappoint! The instructions were clear, which made for an easy trip. Steve was a great guide and very knowledgeable about the river. I fell into the river once, but our kayak assist man, Derrick, gave me clear instructions to help me get to safety within seconds. The photographer was great— she took more photos than I expected which was a fun way to capture a memory I won’t soon forget. I definitely plan on booking another trip with Wet Planet!

We've traveled all over the world and I can confidently say this was the best experience we've ever had! All of the guides were fantastic, but I think we especially lucked out with Durham! I didn't see what the other boats were doing the entire way, but I felt like Durham gave us more experiences than any of the other boats were getting. We got to go under a little cave, stop and drink from a spring fed by the glacier, purposely get flipped 🤣, and our boat wasn't definitely laughing more than the others. His energy was contagious and had us rolling the entire way. He went well above to make this experience one we will always remember! Sidenote, do the cliff jump, go over the waterfall, and ask Durham for war paint and Bones! You won't regret it!!
