River Drifters - White Salmon River Rafting

So much fun! Our guide was Oscar and he was the best part of our experience. He had us laughing the whole time and made us all feel comfortable enough to push ourselves outside of the box. Not only did we learn a some interesting facts along the way be we also learned the importance of having fun. These guys have the best job in the world and you can tell each of them truly loves it. I recently took my second full-day White Salmon rafting trip with River Drifters, and I cannot recommend them enough. They have an efficient system to get you on the river, keep you safe and comfortable, and give you an amazing experience! I've rafted a number of different rivers, but this trip has it all: thrilling whitewater, stunning views, a cliff jump, option to run a waterfall, a delicious homemade hot lunch, and THE BEST GUIDES. Mason was our guide in August, and he went above and beyond in every way. We had a person in our boat who needed extra help on the portages, and Mason was there to support, lift and keep it fun. On a previous large group trip, we had people who wanted a calm ride and others who wanted it spicy, so the guides adjusted to each raft's comfort level. I highly encourage you to do the full day trip. The first half is thrilling with lots of whitewater - can't miss that. The second half has views not to be missed, finishing at the Columbia River with all the wind surfers and kites for the perfect backdrop. If you are thinking of rafting in Oregon and want the ultimate experience, this is it!

Absolutely wonderful experience. This is the first rafting trip I've been on, but I had an absolute blast. They were very beginner friendly, but still had some more technical segments as well. Our guide Brent was super knowledgeable about the river and the geology of the area. I would definitely go again, and I can't recommend it enough to anyone who is thinking about it!
