Reviews
Lake Sammamish State Park is one of the most beautiful state parks in Washington. The scenery is absolutely stunning, with peaceful lake views and incredible horizons where the clouds roll over the tops of the mountains. It’s a perfect place to relax, meditate, go for a walk or jog, or bring your dog for some fresh air. It’s also a fantastic spot for families. There are plenty of activities to enjoy together, and the playground for little kids is wonderful and safe, spacious, and full of fun equipment. Every visit feels refreshing, and it’s a great place to capture gorgeous photos of the lake, mountains, and sky. Highly recommended if you’re looking to unwind, stay active, or spend quality time with family.

Lake Sammamish is a wonderful lake with incredibly beautiful scenery, perfect for unwinding after a busy day. It's not too crowded, and the park feels like a private garden where you can enjoy time with your family. We enjoyed playing badminton there.

Beautiful Lake with Room to Relax Loved spending the day at this lake—plenty of parking, a clean beach, and peaceful views made it a great spot to unwind. It’s well-maintained overall, but the restrooms could use more frequent cleaning. Still, a great getaway for swimming, picnics, or just soaking up nature.

Lake Sammamish State Park from our point of view is the most beautiful lake in the state. There’s a playground and a lovely bike path, sure. But there’s also an amazing lake with stunning views to enjoy. There’s the old cliche - the photos don’t do it justice. Grab something to float on and launch off one of the peers or beaches and just float around. It’ll hit you: the nature here is sublime. Spending 5 hours at Lake Sammamish is what I imagine a day at church feels like for the religious. It just feels amazing, and gets better with each passing moment. I highly recommend the park during the warm months. If you’re a boater, the launch area is easy to use, and very accommodating. There’s an amazing amount of trailer parking. And the process of moving your boat to the water alongside other people is a breeze.

Great place for kids and picnics! Summer is wonderful from 8 am to 8 pm, but in winter after 4:30 pm it becomes too cold. The park is great for kids, and the lawn is perfect for a picnic.
