Great, mostly flat and graveled for wheelchair accessibility, educational trail to McDonnell Lake. Recommend vault restroom on the trail; one at the parking area was almost unusable! Great trail for kids, bird viewing and possible wildlife sightings! There's a viewing cabin and picnic table at the lake. Horse back trail too!

What an experience for all ages! so much to see and experience. Nice walking paths and beautiful views. I have seen bear, elk, deer, turtles, coyote and so many magnificent birds of prey. There is a family of ravens that have 3 or 4 generations and have come to visit me each spring for the last 4 years and it is super amazing and special!

Beautiful refuge, many hikes, good roads, nice campgrounds, and basic facilities. No cell service or potable water and no flush toilets available. Download maps before you leave. Lots of recreational activities available including hiking, fishing, and hunting.

Such a nice place. The scenery was beautiful. Nice camp spots to just get away from it all. Cell service not so good if any!

The auto tour couldn’t be more disappointing…definitely not how it is advertised . Not even a single animal or bird sighting and we were there for almost 2 hours!! No signages at all and needs to be better. We got lost and gps didn’t work too and had a hard time getting out !!
