Gorgeous park! Pretty steep at times on the north route but the reward of the bench & view of Deception Pass was incredible. We sat there several minutes watching 4 eagles before heading down to the water. Came back on the south route. Great park!

A short hike about 1.5 miles roundabout so you can't get lost. Beautiful views but they do warm not to go during high tide. Wonderful area....super small parking lot and you need your discovery pass. I also saw ppl having picnics and such with a wide open area about half way thru the north route.

This was a lovely hike. We went during the lowest tide of the year and walked out to the island and walked back along the beach to the car. We took the lower trail which was flat and a comfortable walk. There is a higher hike that we didn't take. There is an option to head to the point using 1 trail and return using the other.

Lovely nature preserve with a pretty gentle 2 mile round-trip gravel pathway (there are other trails that shoot off from the main path; if taken on the return trip they do have a steep incline). Things to note: there are No Dogs Allowed at this preserve. The parking lot is small- you can park along Snee-Oosh road for overflow. There is lots of direct sun heading in to the park; sunscreen is a good idea on sunny days. You can no longer climb onto Flagstaff island, but there is a similar & very enjoyable view of the Deception Pass bridge up on the North Trail. :-)

Easy to slightly moderate, depending on which trail you take. Beautiful and worth a trip.
