Really awesome stay. this is a fantastic place to stay if you want to be close to downtown/right on the water. We got a room with a deck that walks out right above the water. It was so peaceful and you could hear the ocean at night. The person checking us in was very very kind. The ONLY downside would be the door to our room. There was a largish gap between the floor and the door. This brought it a ton of light and noise. It can also be a safety concern for travelers (definitely something I notice as a young women (often solo) traveler). But other than that this stay is super super worth it ◡̈

Place was in a great location. Room was nice and clean, but I was expecting a little nicer. Walls are paper thin, neighbors had kids, and they were super loud and real easy to hear. Early morning there was an awful stench in the room, not sure if it was sewage or what, but it was very unpleasant.

Room was nice, a bit outdated on a few things, especially the "jacuzzi tub". Toilet paper had been pre used then folded at the end. Very hard to find outlets to use. Can't watch the TV from the tub. Seemed disjointed in arrangement of items. Refrigerator and microwave and towel caddy were in all in the closet while the coffee machine was by the door and bathrooms. Everything was dusty. Including debris in the drawers. Dead fly in the windowsill. Towels in the bathroom had long black hairs on them. The elderly lady at the counter was very rude to my husband at check in, Saying "I doubt that" to him when he said he was here to check in for our reservation. As well as saying "I doubt that" to that he had an early check in and that we lived locally in 98382. I'm not sure why she was so incredibly rude. We dress well, drive nice cars and have good manners. There was zero breakfast. Employees were parked in the guest spots with their dogs in running cars making patron parking hard, unless you wanted to park far away from your room in a janky off side lot . Jacuzzi tub was outdated, broken dirty grout, and you are not allowed to use it after 10pm! No smoking in room or on the balconies, so you have to go 25 ft away from all doors and windows and buildings. Room was very cold and took a very long time to warm up, with both a fireplace and an old school wall/window heater like in motel 6. And the bathroom and toilet remained freezing cold no matter what. The view was nice. Seems like they've pinched a ton of pennies and it shows. Even the "rug" "bath mat" they provide for the Jacuzzi was infinitesimally small, more for a child than an adult. So if all you want is peace and an ocean view, while paying too much for what you get and normal expectations with zero breakfast and manners and lacking basic amenities then this is your place. Over all, they've cut normal available customary amenities, quality, manners and service too much to consider this quality to patron or to return to. The dust, dirt, crust, dead fly, lack of breakfast, manners, and price make it unattractive, even as attractive as the view is, you wind up feeling you should have gotten more out of it. And as I've read others reviews and the rude replies, I'm sure I will get a rude reply to this review, much like the rude reception when we checked in. I do hope you attend to your long standing issues with more than thanking your patron rudely for a "prolix" review. Perhaps some thought and upgrades are what is what's necessary here, rather than more bad manners thoughout the entirety of the situation. I'm entirely inclined to state more if so invited with more geriatric sass than class. Along with more photos. "Prolix" to the higher educated was amusing considering the source. How rude. Which seems to be the one thing in abundance here at the Tides Inn and Suites.

Always a nice little stay here, soaking tub and classy decor in the room makes it comfortable. Great view right on the water, and you can walk to restaurants and shopping right down the way. No breakfast was available this time, but at least the patio was open! (Last time was getting fixed up)

Excellent hotel! It felt much more like an apartment then a hotel room! The jet tub in the room was very nice and, though clearly dated, worked well. It was nice to have a fridge and a microwave in the room too. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable! The staff were pretty friendly, and the hotel is located within walking distance to downtown Port Townsend. Parking was not an issue either, there is a good amount of parking on site. The view off the balcony was very nice as well. My only complaint is that it looks like the filters for the air conditioner had never been cleaned. This led to it being very loud and not working well until cleaned. Please check your A/C filters more often! Other then that though, this was a great location and I would definitely stay here again!
