The Swan Hotel

We've stayed a few different places in Port Townsend, but the Swan Hotel has easily become our go-to pick. When I say this spot has it all, I mean it. Convenient parking... A location that's a stone's throw from the heart of Port Townsend yet also peaceful and serene... Kind, attentive staff that always seem genuinely happy to speak with you... Well-stocked, immaculately cleaned rooms... And even a variety of different room types for all occasions! We've stayed in regular rooms as well as the room on the top floor that allowed access to the widow's walk back in the 1880s. All have been unique, charming, and spotless. Whether we're staying here for a summer weekend or a cozy winter getaway, we always feel at home here. Looking forward to our next stay!

Good accommodations in a quaint old building, the Swan feels like part of historic PT. My room was very clean, tidy, and covered all my needs. The location near Point Hudson was ideal as I was working at the NW Maritime Center across the street. A bonus was free access to an excellent gym across the street and easy walking to many cafes and restaurants.

Swan Hotel is 5/5! It's a quaint and cute hotel that has everything you would need in a local weekend stay. My boyfriend and I stayed for 3 nights and it was a very comfortable and cozy stay. The room had maritime design to it which was a nice touch. We had a ground level room, and it wasn't huge (still a good size for a couple), but we didn't mind because we weren't looking for anything more than needing a bed, bathroom, and tv. The location is right by the water and a very easy walk into town. We didn't interact really with anyone, which we kind of preferred. They set us up with a lock that our room key was in since we were getting in late and they have an easy room service door knob sign you put out when you want them to turn down your room (we didn't need it) so it was an easy in and out everyday! They have parking on site for a few cars and plenty parallel around. Highly recommend this place!!

I found myself with an unexpected need to spend the night with my dog in Port Townsend due to a ferry cancellation. I looked around for dog friendly lodging and one of the hotels was The Swan. I didn't need to look any further after speaking with Judy at the front desk. She was very kind and understanding, and allowed me to look at the available room to make sure it would work for me prior to booking. The location is great (near the marina and ferry dock), and the room was comfortable and very clean. I also REALLY appreciate their commitment to the environment by responsible hotel practices, and that they're dog friendly (in a few dedicated rooms). I needed to leave very early the next morning (thankfully, the ferry was back to normal schedule) and was disappointed I couldn't stay a little longer to explore PT. It was long enough to know that I will be back sooner rather than later, and The Swan will more than likely be where I stay! Thank you for being so great, especially you, Judy!

I recently spent two nights in one of the cabins and couldn’t have been more pleased. The space was spotless, cozy, and very comfortable, clearly well cared for. The convenience of off-street parking made things easy, and the location at the end of the main street meant I was within walking distance of great shops and restaurants while still enjoying a peaceful stay. A wonderful experience overall, and I’m already looking forward to returning.
