I was a little hesitant to book this hotel due to recent reviews regarding extensive construction. However, I did not see or hear any construction during my three night stay, and staff assured me the construction had been completed. I am so glad that I booked the hotel because it ended up being everything I needed for my trip and beyond. All of the staff during my visit were kind, responsive, and accommodating. My room was fairly quiet, far quieter than I would normally expect being on the 4th floor in a city. The room itself was extremely clean, comfortable, and modernly designed. The location was perfect for what I needed during the trip and I was able to easy walk to everywhere I needed to go in Downtown and Cap Hill in no more than 15 minutes. My only complaints were fairly minor. One elevator of the two was down during my trip, so occasionally I had to wait a couple of minutes for it to arrive. Also, the mini fridge in my room wouldn't maintain a sub-40 degree food safe temperature for some leftovers I had, but it looked more like a beverage style mini fridge anyway and at least it displayed the temperature so I knew it wasn't safe to eat the food. I would definitely love to stay here in the future!

Okay yes, I too was reluctant to go here after reading all the reviews that made this seem like a hit or miss. But! This was an AMAZING hotel!! The location was phenomenal and right where I needed to be in places. It was central to everything and the rooms! I believe I had one that was just updated to their new makeover look because everything smelled new. It was spacious and no, there were no construction noises that I heard at all! Maybe there was when the others had stayed here but when I stayed (the week after Valentines day), it was quiet. I got in a few extra hours of sleep because of the time change and didn't hear anything. There was even an event they were helping to host when I was leaving and didn't hear anything about it. There is only one elevator that works, but I didn't see it as a problem at all. It was still speedy and quick. This hotel, when it's completely done, will be one of the best hotels you could have ever stayed at. I promise, the things they are doing with this hotel will knock out the other hotels in the area. You will NOT regret staying here. I would give it 10 stars if I could. I appreciated the free waters as well. Thank you to the kind staff and I hope to visit again, very soon!

The hotel was in a decent location, close to Westlake and Pike Place, but our experience was marred by the extensive construction. We weren’t informed of any construction, between the time of booking and check in, and didn’t even realize how much there would be until we’d already spent the night- we were woken up super early on our anniversary to extremely loud noises that wouldn’t stop for hours. We had a busy trip planned, and hoped it would be a one-time issue, but the next morning, the same hammering and drilling persisted. It’s a shame because otherwise, the room was nice, but it was difficult to relax while we were in our room. We booked through Expedia and decided to reach out through them as soon as we had a chance- again, it was a fully booked trip and when it was over, we had a tight schedule to keep to make it back home, so we didn’t have time to discuss it with the front desk. Expedia told us that effectively the hotel did not care and would do nothing. I just want to make sure potential guests are aware that at least for the time being, it will be incredibly loud very early in the morning. A few other things to note- one of the two elevators is being worked on, and looks very creepy, but it works fine. There are no maps anywhere. We couldn’t find the gym at all. But when we did, it was actually decent for a hotel gym, although it appeared someone had stolen a set of dumbbells. The snack bar options are not great, and I overheard the front desk workers complaining about the options, quality, and price of them. I agree, but probably not something employees should publicly discuss.

Wonderful hotel, great location and the staff is courteous and helpful. The big kicker, even though the website says coffee/tea maker in room, they have since removed that amenities. You have to go down to the lobby in the morning to get a 8 ounce cup of coffee from a kuerig. I don't know about you but I prefer my coffee maker in my room like the majority of the hotels I stay in especially the price paid. The construction, not that bad as long as you dont want to sleep in like a log. Overall great hotel! Bring back the in room coffee!!!

Don't waste your money here. They are doing nonstop construction INSIDE the hotel and you will not get any rest. The rooms are clean but it doesn't matter when there's no sleep and we had to switch rooms because the heater also didn't work. Not worth the hassle. We left and went to stay at The State Hotel which didn't cost much more and was a 4 star hotel in an incredible location.
