My husband and I have been staying at this motel since before it was renamed to Steamplant: We have also stayed in all of the Davenport locations and we prefer this motel over all of them.. They deserve more than 3 stars! The rooms are classy and fun, we love the location (especially watching the trains), they play movies on the wall of the parking lot at night which is SO COOL! The free breakfast down the street at a local diner is such a treat, unlike most continental breakfasts. One of the last times I stayed, Shannon at the front desk was awesome and very helpful.

Nothing fancy, but totally adequate. Desk staff very friendly (is everyone in Spokane this super nice?). Rooms are basic but comfy, my mattress was high quality. The exposed bed frame caught me out a couple times and I bashed the heck out of one of my toes- otherwise I would have given 5s all across. Location was walkable to everything I wanted to visit downtown. Overall a great value for the money.

I stayed here recently with my boyfriend and honestly it was not what I expected at all. The room itself was okay, but barely passes for a 3 star hotel. The property was questionable. When we arrived there was a very noticable homeless crowd hanging out under the bridge right by the hotel. On top of that, a train goes by often but luckily did not keep us awake. The woman at the desk when we checked in looked unkempt, had long dreads, was swearing while talking to us. We saw her smoke from a weed pen multiple times during our stay. It did not give a good impression at all. The evening woman was at least more put together and professional, which honestly just made the daytime situation look even worse. I would not stay here again and I hope the management here is able to fix these issues for anyone else who happens to stay here.

The room was clean and lovely. Bed was comfortable. A bit noisy being so close to the train tracks but all in all a great experience. Close to downtown and a wonderful breakfast at a nearby cafe.

The front desk gal was nice. The room was adequate- ish. Found some stray hairs in the shower and the bed wasn't very comfortable. The trains and homeless guys yelling at 4am weren't something I'd recommend, but overall it was fine.
