SpringHill Suites by Marriott Bellingham

I gave it three stars because while the rooms and services were great, some of the facilities were not working properly. The hot tub heating system wasn’t functioning properly so the temperature was set low, more like a mild/cold tub rather than hot. I was told that this was an issue with upper management and that they needed to ok the work to get it done. I guess they don’t seem to be in to much of a hurry to fix it. Well I really do like this place as I have stayed here often so I hope they think about their guests more.

I called the day before coming and asked about the pool and hot tub, was told they were working well. We chose this hotel for that reason. Upon arriving the pool was freezing and the hot tub was luke warm, obviously they were both malfunctioning. What was frustrating was they didn’t tell us that when we called the day prior, and when questioned no staff would admit they were broken. There was no sign at the desk, everyone was just pretending like all was well. I saw several people pissed about this stating they also had chosen this hotel due to the pool and hot tub… The breakfast was good and room was clean though. They let us check in a bit early which was nice. Besides from the pool/hot tub, it was a positive experience!

Such pleasant, kind, and helpful staff! The continental breakfast was better than most others we have experienced, lots of fresh options, and the pool was clean and area looked like it was well kept. We would stay here again!

If I could give a zero star review I would. The room was fine, worn down and in need of a Reno but the price reflected that (I paid with points anyhow so no big deal). My main frustration is with a lost and found item after my stay. I left a swim suit in the room and I’ve tried to contact the hotel a number of times on this item and the follow up has been useless. Some employees say housekeeping has a separate lost and found and other check “the computer system” and blow me off. As a titanium Marriott member, I’m deeply disappointed.

The room was huge! The room was clean! I loved that the shower and the toilet was separate. The staff was super nice. The egg fritatas for breakfast were really good, but the other breakfast items were sparse. But still there was a lot of fritatas so I chowed down on like 6.
