Silver Cloud Hotel - Tacoma Waterfront

I absolutely love the Silver Cloud Hotel on the Tacoma Waterfront. Every time I stay here, it instantly becomes the most relaxing place I could imagine. Yes, there is a train line that runs along the waterfront and you will hear it throughout the night. But honestly, even with the train passing by, this hotel somehow feels incredibly peaceful. One of my favorite things about this older location is that you can still open the windows. Being able to let in the fresh air, hear the water, and just relax while looking out over the bay in the Jacuzzi bathtub is something you rarely get at hotels anymore. It makes the whole experience feel calm and refreshing. The staff is always friendly and helpful, and the location right on the waterfront is perfect for walking along Ruston Way. For me, this place is truly a home away from home and the perfect local staycation getaway. I keep coming back again and again.

This is my favorite hotel. Being literally on the water is very relaxing. There are higher end touches that make it nicer than other hotels in the area but with the same price. The rooms are clean. The breakfast is great, and the dining area is beautiful. The staff is incredibly warm and accommodating too. When I checked in Bailey helped me. I wanted to change rooms just to be on the other side of the hotel, she was so incredibly nice and accommodating. I felt like a jerk, she didn't bat an eye. She was just super kind and professional. I was really impressed.

The room i stayed in was nice and roomy (but I was traveling alone). The hotel was quiet. The free breakfast was simple and decent. I really loved the view though! Right on the water! The staff was very friendly 😊

We appreciate clean, safe, affordable. Upscale is not mandatory but this SC was much nicer than we sometimes find. The staff were warm and helpful. The view off the NW side was gorgeous. The hot chocolate chip cookies at arrival, and a quite diverse breakfast certainly sealed the deal regarding returning.

Super clean and smelled amazing!! Hotel staff are extremely courteous and cleaning crew insisted we use the elevator first for our luggage. We had 2 parking spots for both of our cars and front desk was very friendly. Excellent!
