Taking my wife out for her birthday went even better than anticipated. The building is beautiful and their spa is so comfortable and relaxing! The jacuzzi room was clean and neatly put together. Everything is in walking distance and they treated my wife to some extra gifts for her birthday at the spa!

Great service. Even with a power outage, they did their best to accomodate us. No complimentary breakfast, but there are restaurants just a minute walk away so that's fine. Rooms are clean and bathrooms are spacious. Room service was also quick. We got a double queen room. The AC works quickly, but the only thing was that the sink was not draining... I also wish that their jacuzzi was hotter or at least give us access to a timer that heats it up, but other than that it's a pretty place for a quick weekend getaway.

I really wanted to rate this higher because the Silver Cloud Hotel Tacoma at Point Ruston Waterfront is honestly beautiful. The location is amazing right on the water, with great views of Puget Sound. The rooms are clean, modern, and comfortable, and the amenities are solid. Overall, the hotel itself feels upscale and well maintained. Most of the front desk staff were friendly and professional, and you can tell they work hard. Unfortunately, what brought this down to a 3-star review was repeatedly witnessing someone behind the desk named Trevor speaking very rudely to other front desk workers during our stay. It happened multiple times and was uncomfortable to watch. I especially didn’t like seeing female employees being talked down to. I don’t tolerate staff being harassed or disrespected, no matter how nice the property is. A hotel experience isn’t just about the views and rooms, it’s also about how people are treated behind the scenes. If management addresses this, I’d happily reconsider my rating, because everything else about the hotel was genuinely great.

This is an upscale hotel in a walkable community. If you could arrive without a car, you would not need one for your stay. You can walk to an upscale multi screen theater. Several restaurants with different cuisine are easy to get to. But you may want to eat at the hotel's restaurant as it's got great food. I had the best lemon pancakes I've ever had. Prices are spendy , but the food is high quality. Katana, our server, was friendly and quick with service. The rest of the facilities seem first class. The workout room was massive and well equipped. We had a water view room, but the best views include the path below. The paths, both paved and unpaved are a great way to get your steps in. If you brought a bicycle this is a fun place to ride near the water, and mostly flat. Many of the people who live above the shops are friendly and will say hello to you on the path. My only issue with this place is the cost of parking as it's under the building. The valet service was great. Be prepared for sticker shock when you get the bill.

This is a beautiful newer hotel. Room was spacious and modern with lots of amenities--large king bed, chaise lounger, full-sized shower bathroom with double sink, mini-fridge and wet bar, incredible waterfront view. Very comfortable and stylish. Includes a pool, good sized gym, spa and restaurants. The main restaurant on the ground level had great food and is open to the public. There's another restaurant upstairs for hotel guests only that I didn't try but expect it's nice also. Gym is spacious and has plenty of equipment. Valet parking is available but overnight parking is not cheap ($38 a night). There is a free parking garage quite close if you don't mind walking a bit, and the area is quite safe. Lots of shops, restaurants and other services within walking distance. Would not recommend for kids, but nice for a romantic getaway.
