This wasn't a vacation visit. We had to evacuate due to flooding. From the moment we called about a reservation, to when we finally checked out, we experienced nothing less than stellar service with kindness and empathy. Free HOT breakfast (If you like coffee, the machine grinds the beans fresh). ✔️ Amazing and friendly team members. ✔️ Pool. ✔️ Hot tub. ✔️ Pet's allowed (with a reasonable fee). ✔️ Thank you Holiday Inn Express and team for making a bad situation better. We appreciate you!

Love this place. It's the only place we stay at when visiting our daughter at college. Clean place, clean rooms, great staff, pool and hot tub is perfect. And the breakfast can't be beat! I only stay at hotels that offer breakfasts, and this is always 100% fresh and perfect. Couldn't ask for better from this place. Stayed at a few other hotels there over the years and always come back to this one. Now it's the only place we'll stay anymore

I’ve stayed at this Holiday Inn Express twice now—once in 2020 and again in 2025—and both times have been excellent. In fact, it’s only gotten better over the years. This is easily one of the cleanest, quietest, and most comfortable hotels I’ve ever stayed in. The beds are incredibly soft with pillows that make for the best sleep. Room temperature is always just right, and the modern room design feels both stylish and cozy, with plenty of space for luggage. I especially appreciate the thoughtful layout—the feng shui just feels right. The bathrooms are another highlight: extra counter space and phenomenal lighting make them so convenient. Staff here are consistently welcoming and professional, which adds to the overall comfort of the stay. Parking is plentiful and feels safe. And as a bonus, the hotel is right near one of the best breakfast spots in town, The Birch Door. All in all, this hotel offers great quality for a very reasonable price. It’s my go-to in Bellingham and I highly recommend it.

Clean rooms, nice friendly staff, and fairly quiet rooms made for a nice stay. Unfortunately we could hear too much from the hallway, our room door didn't have a good seal around it which was apparent when our room lights were off and the glow from the hallway shined through all the way around the door. Not sure if all the rooms are like this, if it's a code thing? Not all hotel rooms are like this though, so not sure, but Itoo much hall noise. Maybe the heated toilet seat, bidet, and butt dryer makes up for it? Breakfast is typical, bananas were good but the apples looked tired... Coffee machine was a bit slow but it did freshly grind the beans for each cup. Overall, nice room.

It was super loud. I was on the first floor, right by the lobby. The staff started gabbing and laughing super loud before 5 a.m. It totally messed up my sleep and woke me right up. Once breakfast started at 6 a.m., it was just pure chaos. Kids were running around and screaming, which I've never dealt with at any other hotel. What a shocker! The breakfast area was a mess, and a bunch of stuff was just left dried out without anyone caring. Not a good time at all.
