Fat Duck Inn

We were delighted with our stay at The Fat Duck Inn. The atmosphere was both cozy and peaceful, providing the perfect retreat. Tim and Kim greeted us personally at the door, and their attentiveness went above and beyond—they even made a special trip home when we requested a bottle of wine for the evening. They struck a wonderful balance between professional service and genuine personal care. Tim's made-to-order breakfast was exceptional, and Kim's homemade baked goods were absolutely delectable.

Kim & Tim are excellent hosts. They take time to chat and make you feel comfortable and at home. The bed is comfortable and we slept well. Rooms are decorated beautifully and clean with a mini fridge as well. Breakfast was delicious and there were several options to choose from. Cookies and snacks were a treat after a long day. This location is close enough to walk to the farmers market and other shops. Beautiful area with historical homes and big trees.

The Fat Duck Inn is easily one of the very best B&Bs we've every visited. Tim and Kim are outstanding, generous hosts, with a range of breakfast options appealing to any appetite and/or food restriction, each prepared with every attention to detail. The inn itself is cozy and quiet (no street noise and we never heard any of the other guests), with both indoor and outdoor gathering spaces. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. Our bed (Gadwall Suite) was exceptionally comfortable. Location is perfect for access to both downtown and departure points for winery exploration. Tim and Kim are extremely knowledgable about both food and wine and their recommendations were spot on for everything. They also play golf so if that is on your agenda, be sure to ask. We had a great time with them and would never consider staying anywhere else when we return to Walla Walla.

Home away from home only much more pampered! Tim and Kim are always one step ahead of you. From the luxuriously appointed rooms to the snacks, cold beverages, and wine available at all times. Get ready for an extraordinary breakfast cooked to order each morning. The optional dinner served on their patio is a special treat! Cannot recommend this Inn more highly!

Kim and Tim are such gracious hosts. We felt instantly welcome in their perfect wine country home. The attention to detail and authenticity can’t be beat. Tim’s breakfasts did not disappoint, and my husband is still talking about Kim’s blueberry ricotta pancakes. Overall, our stay and our hosts exceeded our expectations and we are looking forward to making the trip an annual (maybe twice a year) occasion. Thank you for a memorable stay!
