We loved watching Groundhog Day as the family film after spending the day riding our bikes around Fort Worden.

I have attended this festival for several years and have always been pleased. I thought parking would be a major problem, but my understanding is that the 2-hour street parking limits are relaxed during the festival. Book early as the hotels do tend to fill up.

An 1800's historic town, dotted with victorian homes and buildings; creates a great setting for a film festival. They painstakingly pick great films and are extremely organized. Truly fun options, particularly, viewing an outdoor film on haystacks. Highly recommend volunteering, as well; they treat all with exemplary manners.

We had a wonderful experience at the PTFF; an experience I would love to repeat year after year. I have one suggestion with regard to the system of purchasing tickets to movies. It would free up so much more time for the movie goers if the tickets could be purchased several weeks or days ahead of time and then picked up at a designated location. This system is used at the Ashland Film Festival and it seemed less stressful and time consuming.
