The Fremont Troll is such a quirky and fun stop in Seattle! It’s huge, creative, and perfect for photos — you really get the scale when you see it in person. The spot under the bridge gives it that hidden, urban-art vibe that makes it feel like a little secret treasure in the city. It’s super easy to access, and the surrounding Fremont neighborhood is cute to explore as well. Definitely worth a quick visit if you’re in Seattle — even if just to snap a fun photo and marvel at the troll’s massive hands clutching a car

I was visiting Seattle for a few days and somebody recommended this as an easy fun activity. I ended up having the best day seeing the troll and walking around! Check out the little park to the right from the troll. It’s an adorable little garden with birdfeeders and a very special turtle that you can water and make a wish. If you stroll down towards the main street, there are so many cute little shops, such as a cat bookstore, record store, and the most exquisite vintage shop.

So fun! Beautifully positioned under a busy city bridge, this mythical beast half emerges from the ground with an old VW bug in his hand and hair over one eye. When you stand on the sun in front of him and perform a full rotation, his purpose is served as he helps you achieve dreams and desires using ancient ethereal wisdom that draws out psychosomatic results. We enjoyed climbing on him, riding electric scooters around his home, and exploring the mini nature trail in his honor. Bonus points when he keeps you dry and warm on a cold rainy day. Highly recommend.

It is a real VW bug in there. Also a small park you can walk around that is cool. My husband needed to relive his 11 year old self. 💜

Decent crowd when we were there, but didn’t take too much time for it ti clear out to get a few pictures. Pretty neat.
