This is a peaceful, scenic, and perfect way to enjoy the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this boardwalk offers stunning waterfront views, especially at sunset when the sky lights up over the bay. The boardwalk is well-maintained and easy to walk, with benches and viewing areas spaced throughout. It’s great for a relaxing stroll, casual bike ride, or simply taking in the ocean breeze. On clear days, you can spot the San Juan Islands in the distance and maybe even a seal or two playing in the water.

Great boardwalk with a gorgeous view! You can get coffee or hot chocolate and a pastry right there. There’s also a cool geocache here if you’re into that.

This scenic waterfront promenade along Bellingham Bay offers a fantastic mix of fresh air, stunning views, and casual outdoor activity, making it one of the most enjoyable attractions in the area. The boardwalk is perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. The path itself is smooth and well kept, extending along the water with frequent places to pause and take in the views of the bay, distant islands, and the majestic mountains on the horizon. Even on breezy days, there’s something refreshing about the open space and sea breeze. It connects seamlessly with other parts of Bellingham’s waterfront, including the iconic boardwalk section at Boulevard Park, where you can enjoy beach access, picnic spots, and interpretive displays about the local environment. In the warmer months, it’s a popular route for families, casual cyclists, and people watching the sunset over the water. The boardwalk view and sea breeze is amazing. I saw the train pass a few times. It's such a beautiful scenery to go for a walk and relax. Perhaps, maybe next time go for a picnic and swim in the water. Also, they have a Woods coffee on site by the beach area/parking lot for whenever you want some coffee and snacks.

I walked the boardwalk at midday and liked how it threads the waterfront with benches, viewpoints, and easy access to nearby cafes and docks; it feels lively without being crowded. It’s great for a slow stroll, photos of boats, or sitting to watch the tide; bring a light layer for the bay breeze and comfortable shoes for the wooden planks. Weekends are busier, so come earlier for a quieter walk or a good bench.
