Beautiful and cozy place to stay. Fully functional kitchen and bath downstairs along with a kitchen, and sitting room with fireplace. The stairs to the bedroom are steep and narrow, and the mattress is firm but comfortable. The view from the bedroom is amazing, especially at sunrise, and the biggest Madrona tree I've ever seen is almost right outside the door. There is plenty of power available, but no TV so plan to bring a book or a game to play. With the amenities here I would recommend staying a few days so you can take advantage of the kitchen - it's almost wasted on an overnight trip. Although the building has been maintained and somewhat modernized, you can still definitely feel the history and the efforts that have been made to preserve it.

Had a great time at fort worden park. We stayed in one of the lofts but friends of ours stayed in Alexander’s castle and let us take a look. It’s very cute and unique experience being in the middle of the park. Great view of the water and madrone tree. I would stay here again

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary and just loved it! It was quaint, charming, and dripping with history. Loved the staff at the Commons and loved the brunch @Reveille as well. So much scenery and so much to enjoy. Highly recommend it!

The historical aspect of this castle is interesting, but that's about it. It's overpriced to stay the night in. The rest of the park is a great place to explore.

This is a fairy tale place with a tragically romantic history. The price per night is quite reasonable as you have every amenity possible. The staff at Fort Worden are the best I have ever encountered, they truly want you to have an amazing stay. I have been married for 27 years, but we felt like we were on our honeymoon!
